 Rev. Ann Willet
Senior Pastor

Rev. Ann Willet joined our staff as senior pastor in December 2008.  She served previously at Walnut Hill UMC  (Dallas) and First United Methodist Church of Richardson.  She received degrees from Baylor University and Texas A&M and worked in the financial services field for 10 years before becoming a pastor.  Rev. Willet received Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology in 2005.  She is married to Loren Willet and has three daughters, Margaret Ann, Emily, and Caroline, and a son-in-law, John Paul Shamshoian.  Ann enjoys gardening, antiquing, and entertaining friends and family.

 

Rick Ostroski
Youth Minister

Rick Ostroski joined our staff in April of 2010. Rick has been active in Youth Ministry for over 15 years and is certified in Youth Ministry by the United Methodist Church. He brings a genuine love of sharing the word of God with youth and feels youth ministry should be fun and engaging, allowing each person to explore and grow in their relationship with God and each other. Together we make up the body of Christ; let us journey together down the path that leads to Christ. Rick and his wife Doris have been married 22 years. They have two children (12) and (8). In his free time Rick enjoys golf, softball, wood working and tending his cacti plants.

 

Phyllis Johnson
Children’s Minister

Phyllis Johnson joined our staff a Director of Children’s Ministry on August of 2011.  Phyllis, an artist/muralist, has served many churches over the years as Vacation Bible School Director, children’s teacher, and held numerous roles in facilitating, directing and creating children’s program’s including Easter pageants and special programs.  Most recently, she was co-director of the Children’s Task Force for First United Methodist Church Heath.  She is an active volunteer in the community, serving as past President of the Cherokee Civic Theatre and currently a Board Member and founding member of the Rockwall Summer Musicals.  She owned and directed Star Oaks Christian Day Camp at her ranch in Jacksonville, Texas.  She and her husband, David, reside in Rockwall with their daughter Rebekah and have two grown sons, Eric and Shawn.
 

 

 Rod Smith
Praise Band Director

Rod Smith joined our staff as Praise Band Director in July 2010. He has previously served as Praise Band Director at The River Church, and First United Methodist Church, of Rowlett. Rod is a licensed Real Estate Professional, since 1995, and also holds a mortgage loan originator’s license. He has two children, Trevor and Summer. He is a Dallas native and began attending church as a child at the Skyline Methodist Church his grandfather helped build. Rod’s gifting for guitar began at the age of 10, and his passion to grow in that gifting has not waned. He also has a strong desire to grow in faith and service.

Susan Underhill
Church Secretary

Susan Underhill joined our staff as our church secretary in May 2009. She previously worked as a substitute teacher for Royse City ISD for 4 years. She also worked in an administrative capacity for several physicians and hospitals in the Dallas area for 10 years prior to moving to Royse City. She is married to David and has a son Jordan and a daughter Courtney who is a student at Royse City High School. Susan enjoys several creative hobbies, but devotes most of her time with her graphite/charcoal art.
