QUESTIONS ABOUT WORSHIP AT

ROYSE CITY FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

What should I wear?

Something casual and comfortable. Dress is diverse at our worship service, but you will see very few ties or high heels. We are more interested in you as a person and a child of God than your clothes.

What type of music do you sing during service?

We offer two distinct worship services at First United Methodist Church Royse City.

Our 8:30am worship service is led by our volunteer praise team. We sing a lot of upbeat modern worship songs, but we also love to sing the old traditional hymns of the past.

Our 11am worship service uses the United Methodist Hymnal, drawing on a rich tradition of singing in the United Methodist Church. We love to share in the liturgies of the church.

Both worship services celebrate Holy Communion on the 1st Sunday of each month. If you are visiting with us on a 1st Sunday, you are welcome to join us during communion.

Will I be asked to introduce myself or be singled out as a guest?

As a guest of First United Methodist Church Royse City, you will never be singled out or stand and introduce yourself. You can expect to be welcomed individually by our friendly congregation.

However, we are excited that you have taken time out of your busy schedule to worship with us. All we ask is that you complete a brief contact card so we can appropriately thank you for worshiping with us!

What if I have small children to bring to Sunday morning services?

We offer child care at both services in our Wesley Hall just next door to the Sanctuary. Our child care workers have certified background checks and are fully trained.

We have small group opportunities for children from Pre-K on up.
